    iPhone vs. Android

by admin on November 8, 2011 in Blog

When the iPhone came out, no other mobile phone was able to compete. The features of the smart phone are very unique and exquisite until Android phones invaded the market. Android has definitely stood up against iPhone in terms of user interface, applications, performance and it may have defeated it in some aspects too.

When it comes to applications, the Apple App Store has a lot more to offer than the Android market. But even so, the popular iPhone apps are now found in the android market so basically, the two ties in this aspect. However, the iPhone is more user-friendly than Android devices. Android devices tend to be very complicated while the iPhone is very understandable at first glance.

One thing that makes Android better than the iPhone is that it is an open source operating system. The Android also lets you sync over the air to your Google account unlike the iPhone that needs to be physically connected to a laptop or pc. When it comes to browsing, the Safari runs a little smoother than the Android’s browser. However, Android supports flash unlike the iPhone that seems to be hesitating on adding a flash player until the iPhone 4.

Gaming goes to iPhone still because the gaming apps available for android are not as many as for the iOS. The battery performance goes to Apple too because many Android devices lose battery life faster than you may want it to, especially when web browsing and gaming.

Of course, music goes to the iPhone. While the iPhone has the famous iPod app, Android users do not love their default music player. Nonetheless, there are many music player alternatives for android.

All in all, we conclude that iPhone is still a better device that Android phones. Merely because its operating system is fully enhanced every software release. Be that as it may, Android is not giving up and is quickly catching up.
